Yeah... This is the desert and we're beginning a journey Imagine the camels being loaded up The oasis is all in a clamor as we start from top and go to the very bottom Of a mysterious place, a very mysterious place What's that I see? Ah yeah.... The Sun is setting, the Moon is high

Why do we need sleep? I mean think of all the extra work we could get done if we had an extra eight hours. That's an excellent question Josie. Well one of the reasons we need sleep is to give our bodies a chance to repair muscles and other tissues. Sleep also helps to boost the immune system. Doesn't the brain use sleep to organize memories? Well some people think that dreams play an important part in the process of cataloguing and storing memories. Strange.... What? No regular sleep pattern... I've got another bizarre theory for you... It sounds like Josie's become Caphemeral too. (Hook) Never sleep 'cause sleep is become death I never sleep Never sleep Sleep is the cause of death Never sleep 'cause sleep is death Sleep is death Lucas, you said that dreams help sort out your memories, right? Sometimes it's just the a way for the brain to handle different fears and emotions. If a person skips sleep, the body kicks out extra adrenaline to make up for it. Good morning everyone! You're here early. Josie, how'd it go with Schroeder last night? DId you chart his activity until midnight? Past midnight actually. I was up with him all night. You were up all night again? Yeah. And I also got next week's homework done and finished all my required reading for this month. Strange.... What? If the journal entries are accurate, it would appear that Schroeder has become Cathemeral. What's Cathemeral? Active during both the day and night, with no regular sleep pattern.

Dozens of fucking Iraqis are still dying every day, the whole world hates us for going in there in the first place, and terrorists are still gonna be blowing shit up in this country for the next hundred years! And the best thing she could think of to do about it is put that sticker on that enormous shitbox! There has been a death in the family recently. I am so, so sorry. You know, they still bring the wounded soldiers back at night, so the press can't even film it and nobody sees. American soldiers are still getting fucked up every day, and they don't even tell us. And it's all so you could put gas in this enormous fucking car of yours to keep everybody feeling really fucking American!

Well, now after all that thinking... Wouldn't it be fine if we could a little trip? We will do it. I know a game we all like to play, inside 'La Casa,' the house. We will play Hide & Seek.

Everything that lives is designed to end. They are perceptually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death. However, life is all about the struggle within this cycle. That is what we believe. Pod 153 to Pod 042; How is it going? I am embarrassed. Why is that? I launched a suicide attack, and yet here I am, still alive. I must look very silly. Do not feel bad about it. We are alive, after all and being alive is pretty much a constant stream of embarrassment. That concept is a bit too abstract to understand at this time. I will save it in my list of things to analyze later. Question Pod 042. DId the data salvage restore all of their past memories? Yes. And are those recovered parts of the same design as the previous ones? Yes. Then, won't that simply lead us to the same conclusion as before? I cannot deny the possibility. However, the possibility of a different future also exists. A future is not given to you. It is something you must take for yourself.

about

Sleep can be hard. Sometimes, it's difficult for us to fall asleep, while other times we pass out as soon as our heads hit the pillow. While I myself do not suffer from any sleeping disorders, I do think my circadian rhythm could be improved upon.

As far as this album's title goes, the first word 'active during both the day and night, with no regular sleep pattern,' and Ephemeral which is defined as 'lasting for a very short time.' The reason I smashed these two words together to create Caphemeral is because I am reflecting on why it is I do what I do in regards to my sleeping habits and seeing how I could improve said habits.

That, and I also work nights on weekends and go to school during the first half of the week, so my sleep schedule is kind of out of wack, but I seem to have no negative effects with my circadian rhythm.

Even though this album isn't as cohesive as my last concept album, I feel a lot of tracks on here could resonate with people whom have trouble sleeping. We could all use some assistance in our nocturnal escapades, right?
