Introspection
01:40
|
|||
Deep, deep in debt, deep in thought
Falling off the deep end without a bungee
'Cause life is a circus and the girls on Haight Street are way too funky
I've got red hair and a fucked up beard, overgrown goatee
Been keepin' it real since 1993
Blazin' is good and we can be winners if we compromise
Kids say it's all about battlin'
Braggin' though it's masculinity
Freestyle means diddly and cameos provide validity
Let's politic and speak-spearean
We can talk about rappers and discuss alien abduction conspiracy
Find your direction through introspection
Nonsense is fun, rhetorical conversations are amusing
When speech leaves book and industry thought most find it confusing
So smoke more weed and read more novels and watch more cable
And so we'll still remain skeptical

Waking Up
The perfect being you said? Well, I have to tell you the honest truth as I see it. In this world nothing perfect exists. It may be a cliche after all, but it's the way things are. That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection. It's infatuation, but ultimately I have to ask myself what is the true meaning of being perfect and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is, I despise perfection. If something is truly perfect, that's it. The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination. No space for intelligence or ability or improvement. Do you understand? To men of science like us perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you, but not perfect. Scientists agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection. That's the kind of creatures we are. We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp and trying to reach for something that in the end we have to admit may, in fact, be unreachable...... In other words, you may think that we operate on the same level, but you are wrong. The moment you started talking about perfection you embraced an impossible concept and are already lost to me. That is, of course, if you are indeed a scientist at all.

Masquerade
03:41
|
|||
Intro:
What is it about society that disappoints you so much?
Oh, I don't know.... Is it that we collectively thought Steve Jobs was a great man even though we knew he made billions off the backs of children? Maybe it's that it feels like all our heroes are counterfeit. The world itself is just one big hoax. Spamming each other with our burning commentary bullshit masquerading as insight. Our social media faking its intimacy...
Or is it that we voted for this; Not with our rigged elections, but with our things, our property, our money.
I'm not saying anything new, we all know why we do this. Not because Hunger Games books makes us happy, but because we want to be sedated, because it's painful not to pretend, because we're cowards...
Fuck society
Hook:
Poly-rhythmatic with a big fat boom
You have an eargasm as you start to consume
Outro:
The world as you knew it came cascading down
No hope left inside you, you're pushed to the ground
We will take the everlasting glory
Have our children tell a story
As we weave our thoughts upon the sky...

Rapid Wisdom
03:43
|
|||
Intro:
Is that supposed to be doing that? OK, sorry,. OK, we're starting now...
Hook:
Net attracting sadness a tragedy tractor beam
I'm accumulating a massive amount of wisdom too rapidly
Outro:
The same place where I cast it every day until dawn
from the same chair, I'm writing the same song and I wrote all night
But I erased all of it 'cause all of it was wrong
Yes, I am counted among them, I am one of them
And we all want the same thing, and that thing being -
That my rhymes went the hardest, my ideas went the farthest
When I die I'm not forgotten and they'll call me an artist

Classist Myths
03:13
|
|||
Queer sex is great, It's fun as shit
Don't worry Jesus Is dead and God don't exist
And swearing is fun, It's funner than piss
That it's stupid is a cruel and classist myth

Mental Shackles
02:43
|
|||
When it settles I touch that third stage
I shut these mental shackles and
Blast my way out of that birdcage
When it settles I touch that third stage
I shut these mental shackles and
Blast my way out...

Hey there to my future self
If you forget how to smile
I have this to tell you

Gnostics
03:21
|
|||
Hook:
The world is a danger for children and evil women;
Nuclear bombs all these scientists be inventin';
Could activate at any moment, we all know this;
So we count our days in numbers and exponents;
Outro:
Stop men within their tracks;
Words often filter through the wackness left off-kilter;
From all the vocal curb hoppin';
My rhymes send the unalignment and I'll leave your spine bent;
The time spent dwelling on your wackness feeds the frustration;
Present state, hesitate to attack;

I've been meditating lately
Just to find comfort in my sleep

Right Time
02:10
|
|||
Indiscreet I walk the street with the knowledge
Learning about things that you can't in your college
Like science from the pavement, beats from the basement
A mouthful of lyrics in the label makes the placement

Imperfect Planet
03:31
|

...and my legs are now so tired
Climbing all alone, all space, and all the time
So I fix my attention now
On this imperfect planet revolving around this star

Harmony
03:53
|
|||
Intro:
Did you find any way to escape? No, not yet, but don't worry. We'll find a way out soon. I think we're going to have to do this on our own...
Hook:
The venomous illness
Ready for a brainstorm
I'm running this show
Outro:
Today, we welcome the first airbending master in a generation. I couldn't be more proud of my daughter. When the existence of our people was threatened, when the Avatar's life hung in the balance, she never gave up hope. Thanks to her leadership, I see a very bright future. We can follow her example of service and sacrifice. So while she recuperates, the Air Nation will reclaim its nomadic roots and roam the Earth, but unlike our ancestors we will serve people of all nations working wherever there is corruption and discord to restore balance and peace.
I vow that we will do everything in our power to follow in your footsteps and bring Harmony to the world....

Prophecy (outro)
01:50
|
|||
As they would spin they would tell stories and among these stories we find a chain of prophecies centered on this spindle and they said, "You know some day, just before purification day, we'll see objects or machines rolling across the ground on round things like this.... and that's the time to get ready for the great testing and trial and tribulation because it will soon be upon us...
